Looking for an advanced robotics program for kids? Boswin’s Junior Robotics I & II program introduces students aged 10–14 to VEX IQ robotics, coding, and AI concepts. Students design, build, and program robots while developing STEM skills, critical thinking, and teamwork, preparing them for real-world challenges, robotics competitions, and AI-driven projects.

In our Junior Robotics I & II program, students will explore the exciting world of robotics and coding through engaging, real-world challenges that foster creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration—giving them a solid foundation in both technical and soft skills essential for future success.   • Hands-On STEM Learning – Build real robots using official VEX IQ kits while exploring engineering principles, sensors, and robotics AI concepts.
  • Coding for Kids – Use VEXcode (block-based and text-based) to control your robot’s movements, complete challenges, and program autonomous functions.
  • Fun Robotics Challenges – Apply your skills in obstacle courses, object navigation, and creative team missions.

Junior Robotics Program Benefits

Our Junior Robotics I & II program is designed to equip young learners with essential technical skills and real-world competencies that extend far beyond the classroom, setting a strong foundation for success in both academics and future STEM fields.

Pathway to Competition:

Graduates of Junior Robotics I & II will be ready to advance into our Tier 1 and Tier 2 Middle School VEX IQ Competition Teams. This pathway allows students to apply their skills in official VEX IQ competitions, representing their school or club while competing against other teams regionally and nationally.

Furthermore, after completing the VEX IQ Competition Program, students can advance to our VRC Competitive Teams at the high school level. As part of these elite teams, their outstanding achievements in robotics can significantly strengthen their applications to top universities in the US or Canada, demonstrating advanced STEM skills, leadership, and competitive excellence.

Junior Robotics Program Details


Location:

Program Duration:

  • Junior Robotics I & II – Full Year (Once a Week)
  • Wednesday Evenings | 6:00 – 7:30 PM
  • Junior Robotics I: October 1 – January 28
  • Junior Robotics II: February 4 – June 10
  • Thursday Evenings | 6:00 – 7:30 PM
  • Junior Robotics I: October 2 – January 29
  • Junior Robotics II: February 5 – June 11
  • Saturday Afternoons | 1:00 – 2:30 PM
  • Junior Robotics I: September 27 – January 31
  • Junior Robotics II: February 7 – June 13

Equipment Required:

  • Students are required to bring their own laptops, MacBooks, iPads, Chromebooks, or tablets to install licensed software and practice coding independently with instructor guidance.

Teacher-to-Student Ratio:

  • 1 instructor per 6 students for personalized learning
